Customers benefit immediately from merger of Sunrise and UPC

Since 11 November 2020, Sunrise and UPC are no longer competitors, but instead are working together to push toward technical and operational integration so that customers can benefit from the first advantages in record time. After just three months and, as a first step, Sunrise and UPC customers are getting more service, more offers, attractive gifts with new subscriptions and further advantages for their customer loyalty.

The main goal is for customers to benefit from the merger as soon as possible. Extensive system, process and organizational changes are necessary to facilitate this. Despite restrictions due to the coronavirus pandemic, Sunrise and UPC managed this in record time.

Sunrise and UPC will continue to exist as successful brands, but are celebrating the merger with the new joint advertising campaign “Together more Wow”. The message is simple: Sunrise and UPC are together, and in return customers get a greater "Wow" experience. The strengths of the two companies are being brought together to cooperate in giving customers the best. The new advertising campaign shows that the customers of Sunrise and UPC are the most important factor on the way to becoming the national champion.

 

“Together more Wow” is the first step that makes the advantages of the merger come alive for customers. Sunrise and UPC are continuing to drive integration forward so that customers can also benefit from a coordinated product and service portfolio as quickly as possible. The further steps on the way to becoming a leading entertainment and connectivity platform in Switzerland, and a new product portfolio for residential and business customers, will also be put into place quickly.

The Sunrise and UPC fixed network and mobile offers complement one another perfectly. With all offers, customers benefit from Sunrise and UPC thanks to the fastest 5G network from Sunrise and the reliable UPC Giganet. Customers who are not connected to the UPC Giganet can benefit from Sunrise We Home offers. This means ultra-fast Internet at home and on the go.

 

Sunrise and UPC are continuing to expand the next-generation network structure, including 5G and future technologies, to be able to supply up to 90% of Swiss households with gigabit Internet in the course of 2021. The speed will gradually be increased to 10 Gbit/s.

 

Together with entertainment offers, Sunrise and UPC are providing the perfect combination. Thanks to MySports, Sunrise customers can now also benefit from Swiss ice hockey and other sports. With Sunrise TV and UPC TV including the Sunrise Smart TV App and UPC TV App, entertainment is available everywhere for Sunrise and UPC customers. With language packages for international channels, the latest movies and series on demand, or streaming services such as Netflix or Sky, the TV experience is being individualized.

 

With Sunrise TV Neo, Sunrise and UPC customers also benefit from a purely OTT solution with which they can enjoy the best TV entertainment at home and on the go on Smart TV, tablet or smartphone, without an additional TV subscription.

 

Customer loyalty is rewarded like never before: More entertainment, data and Internet Security – at no extra charge and only for existing customers

Sunrise and UPC are rewarding the loyalty of their customers more than ever before between 1 March and 30 April 2021. Sunrise and UPC customers new to MySports will now receive more entertainment with MySports Pro for 9 months at no extra charge. The We Connect SIM (available starting 15 March 2021) for watches, tablets or laptops is a lifelong gift. And for the protection of all devices from viruses, phishing and malware, Sunrise and UPC are offering the surf protect and F-Secure options at no charge for 9 months. There’s never been anything like it.
